Not enough storage

Not enough storage

Oh my word. We’ve lived in this house for more than 35 years and during that time, we have (more than) filled it with this and that. Open a drawer or a cupboard and it’s likely to be full of whatever it is we store there. However, our house doesn’t display the same frustrating message as my phone, which told me this morning “Not enough storage”.

How frustrating is that?

As a result, I have been going through the photos in my gallery, some of which date back to 2018, because when I’ve changed my phone, everything has just been copied across.

Some of the images are strange - like this one. Why did I take a photo of the label? I tried the QR code with no joy - there was no clue there to what it was or why I needed it, sadly.

Other collections were a little more obvious, like this bundle of photos from our trip to Nashville in late November 2018. My first question always was, did I copy these photos to my PC? The answer here was an easy “yes”, for there in my Travelling folder was a folder “Nashville, November 2018” Of course, recent events reminded me of that visit, in particular the Country Music Hall of Fame and how we left channelling our inner Dolly and Waylon.

I think I’m really putting together a good excuse for not getting on with something more purposeful this morning, because actually, I’ve just been enjoying our 2018 road trip as well, when I came across a picture I’d taken in a gallery.

But where was it? A bit of head scratching and a conversation with my Hero suggested New York. Sure enough there it was on my blog post that day prompting the question, why were we in NYC?

Cue the next blog post and the answer: that was when we met our friend Jordi, before flying to St Louis to drive the first section of the Oregon Trail, across Missouri and Nebraska with Mary.

Well, I read the next blog post and the next, enjoying it all again, especially because I really ought to have been ironing! Of course, it all came flooding back as if it were yesterday.

I kept reading… there was that fabulous quilt shop in Cozad too! Ooo, I bought the pattern for that bag and made it up…hmmm… now where might that be?

Of course, looking through my blog stories of that trip is not the way to a productive Saturday, but it’s a lot of fun! I had forgotten so many of those details and it’s lovely to return to those wide open spaces and fabulous skies.

I’m only just clearing 2018 from my phone gallery too and have a few more years to go 😎
