The first week of September
It’s been quite a week.
On Monday we saw Evita at The Palladium in London.
We stayed over at the Sofitel and our breakfast view on Tuesday was of Waterloo Place.
On Wednesday the rain was so horrendous, the lane outside became a river. Thankfully it stopped raining just as we made our way over the garden for drinks with dear friends and neighbours.
Thursday, we joined a friend for lunch at a local pub, where we had a table in the window.
On Friday we met pianist Tra, for lunch in a favourite London brasserie. She’s here from her home in Hong Kong for a couple of days and is playing a concert in a boathouse in Venice on Sunday afternoon.
Yesterday, Saturday, I was judging at Moreton Show and was up with the larks for a very early start. I wasn’t the only one as this fine fellow was having his pedicure when I got there at just gone 7am.
Finally, this Sunday afternoon, our local band was celebrating their 140th birthday with a concert just across the way in the village pleasure grounds. The rain held off and a good time was had by all.
I think September has got of to a pretty good start!
TThe Feature photo, by the way, is of the blue and white paper pieces that cascaded over us at the end of the first half of Evtia.
