It's Fathers' Day
Whilst we celebrate both fathers in our small family today, I was just starting to edit photographs for my next post, which included this one.
It's a photo I took on Thursday evening at the Sofitel at Heathrow T5 where we were overnighting before our flight to Berlin on Friday morning. I took the picture because I always think of my Daddy when I see it. Without going into too much detail, he always loved such maps, finding it fascinating to see how darkness fell around the world in that broad sweep. A simple but clear illustration of what could be regarded as quite a complex concept.
So coming across that photo right now seemed quite apt. How lucky I am to have had such a great father and how many similarly small things do I come across every day which remind me of him.
Celebrating all great fathers today and every day!
