Turning round

Turning round

For the first time, we chose to bump two cruises together this time and rather than get off the ship in Southampton, we’ve stayed on board for the next one.

That meant we had the ship (almost) to ourselves this morning. What better time to make use of the lovely pool then?

Except that I soon discovered it was quite cold in there. Not only that, it was saltwater too and wearing my contact lenses and with no goggles to wear, I was limited to keeping my face out of the water!

So I just floated about a bit, enjoying the peace and quiet and for about five risky moments, my Hero handed me my camera so I would have photos to share. Taking photographs holding my camera in deep water wasn’t exactly the most sensible thing to do, but fortunately, good sense prevailed and I stopped before there was a surprise splash.

We didn’t have the ship to ourselves for long though, because there were visiting travel agents (we think) passing through and as we sit at a lovely table on the deck with a glass of my favourite sauvignon blanc the next contingent of passengers are beginning to arrive.

The big question: who will be on our Trivia team this time?! Shall we hold auditions?
