Day #50
Hard to imagine, isn’t it? I’ve been numbering the days in my diary, week by week and sure enough, today we reached our half century of being at home.
Except I wasn’t, for half an hour at least.
We needed milk and one or two fresh vegetables, so rather than go to the small Tesco in the next village I decided to go to our lovely farm shop instead. I’d need the car to go to either and I figured that the additional couple of miles would be more than made up for the better quality produce and hopefully fewer people too.
How right I was about that!
As I got out of the car and watched someone climb into the only other vehicle in the car park and drive off, I felt quite excited to be out and about! It was a lovely morning, I’d rather enjoyed the drive up here and here was the promise of Good Things.
I’m a fan of this particular local treasure and admire the way they have quickly adapted to the new requirements whilst keeping true to style. And yes, of course I did! (wash my hands, that is)
Had I come to buy - or even look at - houseplants? Not at all. But I couldn’t resist taking a look inside the yurt to see what they’d come up with. Since I was the only one around, I didn’t feel I was taking up someone else’s valuable browsing spot, either.
Lovely - though my staging and visual merchandising fingers were itching to have a go at that table!
I think those two heaters might be an essential part of this particular idea, don’t you?
Ten minutes later I was on my way home again, milk, veggies and a nice bit of cheese in my bag. I’d been away from home for only half an hour or so but what a treat!
I wonder how long it will take for me to take all of this for granted again?
