I hate packing
I try to be organised. I AM organised. I make lists and allow plenty of time.
It has to be done however and having made a start yesterday, I was pleased to have kept things light.
I made use of the list I created a couple of years ago for a similar occasion and ticked things off as I went. Looking at the things on this list, you might guess that it's not for our next adventure but for a workshop I'm teaching on Thursday.
But the same principles apply. The earlier I start to pack, the more organised I appear to be, the more time there is to add "that little thing I forgot", and "this might come in useful", not to mention the potential "I wish I'd brought".
On this occasion, it was done in not much more than an hour, though there are still other things to think about, including most of the paperwork on my desk right now.
The real challenge awaits me later.
