Seasons

When it stopped raining on Friday morning I poked my nose outside and spotted that the rose bush nearest to our garden room door had suddenly burst into flower again. The forecast for the weekend weather wasn’t so good, so I felt no regrets at cutting off every bud and bloom that was there and bringing them inside to enjoy. Not only that, but I had a lovely new vase as a birthday present that was the perfect size and shape for them.

A last memory of Summer.

Time to come indoors and stay warm and dry. The farmer was bringing in his cattle from the common yesterday which was creating a bit of a stir and more than a couple of stand-offs too.

The Christmas cups are out in the coffee shops already and our calendar for the next couple of months is pretty full.

But we can always find time to enjoy a fish and chip lunch on a Saturday, whatever the season.
