Child of the Autumn
It’s turned cold here and there’s a definite nip in the air first thing in the morning. I went off in the dark to go swimming this morning but the magical moonlit starry sky overhead more than made up for the slight shiver. I tied my scarf a little closer and breathed in the fresh air.
I celebrated my birthday earlier in the week and was thrilled by quite a few lovely surprises, including this lensball which I’m only just starting to play with. I love this time of the year, not only for the colours and the cooler mornings, but for the renewed cosiness and the comfort of an extra layer.
Having completed my swim this morning I felt I’d definitely earned my breakfast when I got back home and for the first time this year, my porridge routine kicked in.
My birthday celebrations continue into the weekend as well. How lucky is that?
