Misty morning

Misty morning

We woke to a misty morning. It’s been a warm and sticky night and the forecast suggests today will be a hot one. But as I left for my swim, I needed to turn on the fog lights and the visibility on my drive into Cirencester was patchy. Not only that, but the combination of the humidity outside and the aircon inside made my windscreen steam up, activating the automatic wipers. Weird!

My first thought when I arrived back home (after asking my Hero to deal with the dead bird on the drive, which thankfully wasn’t there when I left) was to go and get my camera. The cobwebs on the bushes near our logstore were remarkable.

Each one, a little masterpiece of engineering and the dew drops which had collected on the web in such a regular pattern were magical.

There were so many of them, too.

But one web in particular made me smile.

Isn’t there always one who has to be different and go off piste?!
