With bells on

The symposium over, ending with a concert last night, we said goodbye to our friends and wondered what we might do today.  The weather was sparkling, our hire car was ready and waiting, all we had to do was decide where to go.

More details to follow, but suffice to say, it's been quite a day.  One of those days when we've experienced both highs and lows.

Ultimately, our moods were lifted by the most glorious landscape as we drove over the Klausenpass, stopping to enjoy the sunshine and the company of a herd of cows who came to remind us who was really responsible for the cheese and the ice cream we'd just bought at the Alpkäserei there. (Fantastic website...worth exploring every corner!)

We sat thinking of our very sick friend, sending her much love.
